There is disclosed a method for treating a feed stream comprising sunflower oil, sunflower wax, and water, involving the adjustment of the pH of the feed stream to form a lipophilic phase and an aqueous phase which phases are separated to form a lipophilic stream and an aqueous stream. Also disclosed are methods for treating a lipophilic stream comprising sunflower wax and sunflower oil to form a solid wax and an extract or solution comprising oil.
